PricewaterhouseCoopers believes in doing the right thing for its people. This includes investing in them, especially in the early stages of their career. This is evidenced by the firm being voted the UK's top graduate employer in The Times Top 100 List of Graduate Employers for the sixth consecutive year. We are therefore delighted to continue our sponsorship of the Industry Newcomer of the Year Award for the third year running, recognising and encouraging those who have just entered the world of business continuity but who have already made a mark.
PricewaterhouseCoopers is acutely aware of the difficult times posed by the current economic climate; this in addition to the 'normal' challenges that face today's businesses including the unforeseen and unpredictable disruptive events. In response to this, senior leadership has ensured that we have invested in our own comprehensive internal business continuity programme, which is now independently assessed and certified to BS 25999-2:2007 across all of our UK locations. As well as ensuring we can maintain our own excellent services for clients, we are also in a position to offer guidance and support to our clients in terms of reviewing and developing their own business continuity programmes.
PricewaterhouseCoopers provides assurance, tax and advisory services to build public trust and enhance value for its clients and their stakeholders. More than 163,000 people in 151 countries across our network share their thinking, experience and solutions to develop fresh perspectives and practical advice.
Our firm is founded on a culture of partnership with a strong commercial focus. This is reflected in our vision: 'One firm — a powerhouse of a commercial enterprise that does the right thing for our clients, our people and our communities'. Our goal is to build the iconic professional services firm, always at the forefront of peoples' minds, because we aim to be the best. We set the standard and we drive the agenda for our profession. We value our past but look to invest in our future to leave the firm even stronger than when we inherited it.
