Business Continuity Initiative of the Year
This award will recognise the awareness initiative that is both educational
and supports the business continuity message throughout the organisation
(public or private) and the broader community as a whole. Further,
the initiative should aim to drive business continuity management
thinking forward, encouraging buy-in at board level and involvement
throughout the organisation. Examples may include films, roadshows
or scenarios, innovative use of new media or any unique/unusual idea
for raising business continuity awareness.
The Business Continuity Initiative of the year award is sponsored by THE INSTITUTE OF OPERATIONAL RISK
The Institute of Operational Risk is an organisation that has as its primary aim the promotion of skills and standards associated with operational risk management. It is an independent, not for profit, professional body designed to support its members through the provision of high standards against which membership and professional competency is judged.
The Institute was created in 2004 to provide professional recognition and has a passion in regard to operational risk management, developing standards and education, while also providing a forum to exchange ideas and best practice within the industry.
Activities provided by the Institute and its members will continue to develop the industry and overall good practice, assist personal growth, career management and employer confidence, as well as supporting the operational risk management discipline itself.
