Business Continuity Consultant of the Year
In judging this category, recognition will be given to consultants who excel in the business continuity field. Among the factors considered will be the use of creative ideas to resolve problems, innovation in the actual techniques used, the instigation of a business continuity culture in all the organisations worked with, the strengthening of relations between service suppliers, insurers and business continuity professionals, and strong ideas on future developments in business continuity planning. Nominations should be submitted in the form of a 2,000 word statement, and should include details of the activities of the consultant, past successes and overall business approach.

Scottish Continuity was formed to enable the free-flow of information on best practice in Business Continuity Management in Scotland. Membership is available to individuals and organisations across all areas of the public and private sectors. The organisation is dedicated to:
• Encouraging and supporting Business Continuity best practice through networking events, conferences and training events.
• Encouraging development and provision of Business Continuity related education, training and development activities.
• Encouraging and supporting conferences, meetings and seminars for the benefit of the membership on a non-profit basis.

• Facilitates the exchange ofinformation regarding Business Continuity Management and Incident Management and Co-ordination within all sectors.
• Encourages and supports the integration of Business Continuity Management into the day-to-day management structure of member organizations.
• Offers appropriate membership levels to attract a comprehensive and representative membership throughout Scotland; including student, individual and corporate.
